Assistiv builds tools for older adults, including people who use assistive technology. If our websites are not accessible, we are failing the very people we exist to serve. This statement sets out where we stand, honestly, and where we are going.
Assistiv Systems Limited is committed to making its websites and tools accessible. We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA, across all four sites. Although as a private company we are not in scope of the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018, we have chosen to follow the model those regulations set, because our tools are built for NHS and public sector settings.
You should be able to navigate our websites using a keyboard, zoom to 400% without content overlapping, and use a screen reader to access our content. Our screening tool is voice-first by design, precisely because forms and small print exclude many older adults.
These websites are partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. The non-compliances and our remediation plans are listed below. A formal third-party audit has not yet been carried out; this assessment is based on our own testing.
Accessibility work is part of our standard development cycle, not a one-off project. Current actions: completing the aria-hidden pass on decorative icons, running a full colour contrast audit, adding text equivalents to every data visualisation, and arranging user testing with older adults who use assistive technology. We will commission a formal WCAG 2.2 AA audit ahead of any commissioned NHS deployment, as part of our DTAC evidence pack — see our Governance & Assurance page.
If you find anything on these websites that you cannot access, or if you need any of our content in a different format — large print, plain text, or a spoken walkthrough — contact simon@assistiv.co. We aim to respond within five working days, and accessibility reports go to the top of the development queue.
The Equality and Human Rights Commission enforces accessibility requirements in Great Britain. If you raise a problem with us and are not happy with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service at equalityadvisoryservice.com.
This statement was prepared in June 2026 based on our own evaluation of the four websites. It will be reviewed and updated as remediation work completes and following our first formal audit.
